Leading Russian packaging manufacturer Tokk Metalpak is rolling out a major modernisation project at its production site in Krasnodar Krai. The company is injecting 1.1 billion rubles, equivalent to around $13 million, to upgrade its local factory, which specialises in easy-to-open ends and tinplate cans of various specifications. The core of the upgrade is a brand-new industrial varnishing line installed at the firm’s facility in the Kurganinsky District of southern Russia.
Besides the advanced new production line, the large-scale expansion project also includes the construction of a 14,000-square-metre warehouse on the plant’s premises. Though the official output capacity of the new varnishing line has not been revealed, the overall development will bring clear local economic benefits, creating 100 new formal jobs for the region. This upgrade builds on the company’s rapid local expansion, as Tokk Metalpak officially launched full-scale production of tinplate cans and ends at the Krasnodar Krai site back in February, with an annual production capacity of up to 225 million packaging units.
The factory’s finished cans are crafted from varnished and lithographed tinplate, adopting a mixed raw material supply model that combines locally sourced Russian materials with imported tinplate from Belarus and China. Boasting a diverse product portfolio, the facility manufactures nearly 40 different sizes of cans and easy-open ends, mainly serving fruit and vegetable processing enterprises in Krasnodar Krai, while also meeting the packaging demands of domestic clients across Russia. The regional government has strongly backed the entire project, offering supportive policies including tax reductions and customs duty exemptions.
The strategic upgrade holds great significance for Krasnodar Krai’s industrial development. As one of Russia’s top hubs for agricultural production and food processing, the region has soaring demand for high-quality metal packaging. Local industry data shows that Krasnodar Krai produced 737 million units of canned fruit and vegetable products from January to July 2025, marking a 7.6% year-on-year increase. The expansion of Tokk Metalpak’s production capacity effectively fills local packaging demand and supports the sustainable growth of the regional agricultural processing industry.
Official corporate records show Tokk Metalpak was registered in the Moscow Region in 2024, focusing on the manufacturing of lightweight packaging products. The fast-growing enterprise achieved impressive market performance in 2025, with its annual revenue surpassing 2.3 billion rubles. The ongoing Krasnodar Krai modernisation project further consolidates its position as a key supplier of metal packaging solutions for Russia’s food processing sector.
